On Saturday
10 April the Society’s Show was held in Ickenham Village Hall and the beautiful spring day with almost perfect weather
attracted plenty of visitors to see the lovely bright display of daffodils and other spring
flowers.Despite the truly awful gloomy and wet weather over the past few weeks, the quality of entries on the show benches
was excellent with the only slightly disappointing area being fewer than usual vegetable exhibitors. The handicraft was very
well supported and all the junior sections were exceptionally well supported. In addition to the competitive entries, there
was an excellent display featuring the Glebe School Gardening Club, which is run in cooperation with a number of volunteers
from our Society on a regular basis.
